Sorry Jan, gotta disagree you on this one to a certain extent. It strikes at the fire in his belly. He’s taking the easy way, and chances are very good that’s the way he’ll play on the ice. I may be being a bit unfair, but I think this is yet example of a enigmatic player, who has no godly idea what it takes to be successful in the NHL. Sorry. |

He was making adult money in the KHL, to come over here and make less than an accountant while getting benched and scratched in the AHL isn't what he envisioned, and I'm sure isn't what was discussed with him prior to signing.
He was one of the better forwards during pre-season, if we got beat 6-2 last night instead of winning 6-2 I think people would be singing a far different tune. Not really sure what management is thinking, they should have been forcing him to play 20-22 mins a night in Hartford, not scratching him and having him ride pine, it's a developmental league and if we're going to be decent in the future the organization has to think Kratzov is going to play a somewhat decent part in that. |

He is right to an extent. Yes 19 is still young, but why not play and have fun, show the Rangers you belong and then get called up. Now he will be playing in the KHL. Maybe he doesnt like North America. I really dont take this as encouraging news thats for sure. |

Because you pondered it:
I’m 70 years old, retired. View Nam combat veteran, Purple Heart recipient. I have an abundance of maladies COPD, PTSD, AFib, and probably a few I have yet to look forward to.
Been a Rangers fan since the day my father took me to my 1st game at MSG In 1959., then 8th ave and 49th street. It was a Saturday matinee against the Chicago Blackhawks. Rangers got spanked 8-1, but I was hooked. Bill “Red” Hay hat trick.
If there is one I’ve learned, if you want something bad enough and you have the talent for it, only hard work will get you were you want to go. Clearly, this is the 1st major disappointment in Kravtsov professional life. His youth is on his side, but what he does with the rest of this year, will go a long way to determine if he’s Tarasenko or a Brendl. It’s up to him.
Thanks for your thought. |

Imagine being 19 years old and having the choice to make 700k or 70k this year. The kid is young and has a lot to learn. Give him time and will be a big part of this team moving forward. Not the most ideal situation obviously but I am not going to say we see screwed with him. |

No matter what you think about Kratvsov going back to Russia, one thing is proving for certain, Shestyrokin is waaaaaay too good for the AHL. And if they toy with this situation too long, they run the risk of him being fed up with being in Hartford and going back to Russia too.
They’ve gotta trade Georgiev, and Huska is actually more than capable of being the #1 in Hartford. |

Krastov going home will turn out to be one step back to go two steps forward
lots of facts to understand Krastov leaving ...
before we signed Panarin & Trouba ,Krastov was big addition to rebuild which now is called the retooling to P O's
Fully expected to play on NYR not Conn. Mgmt probably insinuated as much when they got him to sign .
Big 1st time leaving home land ,language issues , frankly at 19 yrs old i dont expect that much maturity unless hes a different type of millenial than then the ones we breed here , BEST to diffuse now & get him back to his type of game & skill ,he can do that here living out of a hotel room OR back home where he can get back to what he knows ...
He can come back ANYTIME ,I only see this as a re start after having rug pulled out from under him
If & when we make moves with team and open up the top 9 slot he needs & 15 mins a nite ...

Gotta ask why Quinn takes 2 slots with Smith & Staal ?
Smith playing 4th line min. (8min) + solid pp against min
Staal taking up space + PP against
Why cant Smith play D with Fox & STaal sit
OR
Play a kid on 4th line or Haley to bang & patrol
You dont get that much out of Smith on 4th line & Fox gets a real partner
A dA & SHey can be real good
Trouba & Hiajk growing ....
splitting up Zbad & P man actually got 2 good lines rolling made 3rd line
more of a factor ..
4 th line ? i dont thing Quinn KNows how to use 4 line rotation ? forgets to keep them in game 6 ,7 8, minutes gotta find better use or send L A down & Boo knows hockey not Bo but almost , i like him & he knows the job |

You are right about the money difference, but it has been 3 weeks not months so he hasnt lost much. Matter of fact what im disappointed about was that yesterday was the first day he could opt out and he did, he didnt even give it a chance. But that goes back to what Oldschool said, once he got sent down, he should have been on fire to show what he can do, but he did the opposite, he went down and pouted. It wasnt even him playing a few games skating hard and not producing, he went down, poopty attitude and was a health scratch a few times.
I dont know if he will be a bust, I thought he would have made the club out of camp, even for just the 9 games. I dont know WTF the Rangers are thinking. MH?? Really??? |

the 9 game thing wouldn't have even mattered anyway in this case, that's to make sure a player's entry level contract would slide, and Kravstov's wouldn't slide no matter what
it's disappointing that he's gone back to the KHL for the rest of the season, but not the end of the world, that's how I look at it. Hopefully he lights it up there.

It’s disappointing but when you compare the money he could be making there vs here, being only 19 and being away from your parents, family, etc. it makes sense.
The most frustrating part is 1 or 2 injuries and he could’ve had his shot up here. |

I am not trying to get involved in this at all. I am just curious where the term "piss ant" came from. Never made sense to me |

It’s a 14th century word that refers to a specific type of ant. When used as a noun, it’s slang for to a person of no significanice.
